Cleveland Rocks for the Arts
(Proposal for Organization)
Mission: Support children dedicated to pursuing their artistic dreams.
Provide instruments or supplies needed for them to reach their potential.
Clients: Children, 18 and under
Nonprofit programs dedicated to the arts in 

need of emergency funds.
Organizational Outline:
Teachers and directors (public and private) of programs that provide classes for children in the arts will nominate children who they have identified as having a financial need for services, instruments, equipment, uniform/costumes or supplies.
The teachers will identify children who have exceptional talent, enthusiasm, and drive.
The teacher notifies parents or guardians of the program and will receive their permission to have funds provided.
A simple two page nomination/permission form will be submitted to request funding.
Funds from the program will be spent directly on the services, instruments, supplies or uniforms required. The funds will not be given to the families or caregivers.
Smaller nonprofit youth arts organizations who find themselves in need of emergency funding (under $500) can apply for support.
Goals for the future:
Store and repair instruments and arts supplies, donated by the general public or businesses, for distribution to children in the area.
A listing on the Web site will have a list of scholarships for children in the Cleveland area as provided by area organizations.
Arts: Art, music, dance, film/graphic, song, drama, textiles, ceramics.
